A simple recreation of the pad sound in "Emotinium (Secret Mix)" by Roy of the Ravers. The sequence matches what's played on the track, but condensed to fit in a 16-step sequence, so you'll have to match the tempo yourself.
-Play with decay/release and cutoff eg int
-Toggle VCO2 between square and sawtooth
*Runs with Zoom MS CDR-70 Patch which is a compressor and clone chorus
*Sequenced in Digitakt
This creates a flute-like sound by oscillating a relatively low cutoff value to create a vibrato effect. The slow attack and delay make it seem more natural. Slight detune gives it some body. Turn peak up to boost the lower frequencies if you want.
Sounds like the sound effect they use on the simpsons when something gets irradiated. Play the M2 key (A#1) when octave is set to 3. Adjust peak to your liking. It just adds more bass.
the first step is:
tempo at 240 & push PLAY
step 2:
touch and record randomly the notes from
the pitch 1,2 and 3 in the lowest octave
step 3:
get a more natural and random sound
deleting steps with Active Step
Hope you like it!
LFO rate = rt.04,
LFO INT (0) < (50)% ,
play with the :
VCF CUTOFF,
shift LFO accents using FUNC + RATE,
turn off CUTOFF modulation FUNC + M6 = sidechain compression effects,
play with the:
PEAK, CUTOFF EG INT, LFO INT
The VolcaShare code repository was unceremoniously created ten years ago, on March 12, 2016.
Since then, it's grown from an experimental Volca Bass patch database using WebMIDI into a
home for Volca Keys patches and browser-based emulators too.
To celebrate the ten years, I'm introducing something fun:
Mystery Patch,a daily challenge where you recreate a hidden synth patch by ear.
Thanks for popping in, checking out the patches, sharing your own, and playing with the emulators.
